Monday afternoons hot for loan applications

Apparently Britons are more likely to apply for a loan on Monday afternoons than at any other time.

Statistics from Halifax have shown that weekdays in general are more popular than weekends, with the most popular time being Mondays - then dwindling over the course of the week as the days go by.

With the information now being offered over the Internet, many people have turned to the Web seeking financial information.

Head of Unsecured Personal Loans at Halifax, Neil Chandler offered, “Although weekday afternoons are the time most of us look to apply, an increasing number of people choose to make use of our 24-hour online service.”

Much of the information needed for those seeking to compare loan products can be found online and most people are advised to consider secured loans as an alternative to unsecured personal loans.

By borrowing against property, individuals with poor credit may be able to obtain a greater level of funds in a shorter period of time – especially now that credit has become even more difficult to attain.

With Credit Action figures showing that an average 9% of Britons’ take-home pay

is being spent on interest payments alone, a secured loan to consolidate all debts may be the best course of action to take.
